Publication Fee
Do I have to pay in Jurnal Alfa?
Article Submission Charges: Free
Article Processing/Publishing Charges (APC): free
The free APC includes:
- Registration of DOI for each article
- Two Similarities Check results with Turnitin (one at the start during internal review and one at the end of the article's peer review process). The results will be sent to the corresponding author
New policy:
APC is free for article submissions of authors from a minimum of two different countries' affiliations or manuscripts with author that has more than 5 H-Index from the Scopus or equivalence in WoS database and is willing to review a paper, also for article submissions of authors from a minimum of three different countries.
When do I have to pay, and how do I pay?
If the manuscript has been accepted for the copyediting process, alfapustaka23@gmail.com will contact the corresponding author to transfer the required amount.
After payment confirmation, the corresponding author will receive the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for publication and the free-access link to the article. The link can be shared with co-authors and colleagues and posted on the authors’ personal or institutional webpages.
Can I reduce my publication fee?
Yes, you can reduce the amount you have to pay if you apply for a waiver or discount, which are available only if the author(s) are based in developing countries (a list is provided below). You must declare reasonable reasons for a waiver or discount in the comments to the Editor box during your submission; otherwise, your application will be considered as a normal submission if it is not asked for at this stage.
Applying for a waiver or discount will not affect the article submission's review results.
Waivers and Discounts
Both options are available to authors once their articles are accepted and are entering the production stage. Authors may apply for waivers and discounts for a maximum of two times.
To ensure that editorial decisions are not influenced by authors' capability to pay publishing fees, it is Jurnal Alfa policy that editors of open access journals are not involved in correspondence with authors regarding payment of Article Publication Charges (APCs).
In addition to the Research4Life countries listed below, some journals may offer additional waiver initiatives for APCs. These additional APC waivers will be managed by the editors and may be discussed with them.
Automatic Waivers
Corresponding authors based in the following countries are eligible to receive an automatic waiver for APCs when publishing in Jurnal Alfa. The automatic waiver system will be managed by administrative staff not involved in decisions regarding article acceptance.
Automatic waivers will only be applied if the corresponding author requests a waiver at the payment stage.
